So im living it up in Leyland now, quite a contrast to the rural delights of France and even Buxton, which seems like little more than a village in the hills compared to the dirty great suburbia of Preston and the surrounding area. Well one thing that this place does have going for it is jobs, at least... I've applied for quite a few now, and still got a moderate sized pile of application forms on my bedroom floor waiting for me to repeat the process of entering personal details, previous experience yadda yadda. My mum got me to sign up to the dole for the time being, so im getting £55 per week for doing very little, other than what i have just mentioned. City life and society is pretty much focused on security, future, holiday two times a year, two cars, all mod cons. I don't know how long i'll be able to stick it out, but maybe i will get a taste for routine, i hope so... for now at least, regular cash would definantly be sweet.
